What data we collect
We collect the data you give us voluntarily: in the contact form (name, phone, email and country, when provided, and your message), when booking an appointment online (name and phone) and when subscribing to the newsletter (your email). For security, the server also records the IP address of whoever sends a form, to stop abusive submissions. We also measure visits to the website, as explained in “Visit statistics”.
How we use the data
We use the form data only to reply to your request and follow up on the support you ask for. The booking data is used to reserve your slot and send you the confirmation by SMS. The newsletter email is used only to send you our communications. Apart from the visit statistics described below, we do not use your data for any other purpose, nor do we make automated decisions.
Data sharing
We do not sell or share your data. To run the website we rely on service providers that process the data only on our behalf and for the purposes above: SendGrid (Twilio), which delivers the form messages to our email, and BookingSMS, which manages online bookings and sends the confirmation SMS. The map is provided by Google and only loads if you click to show it.
Visit statistics
To understand how the website is used and improve it, we measure visits with our own tool, which runs on our server: which pages are viewed and for how long, where you came from (for example a search engine, a social network, an artificial intelligence assistant or an ad), the country and approximate city, the language, the type of device and browser, and clicks on contacts and forms. When you send a form, we link it to the visit in which it happened, so we know which channels bring requests for support. This measurement uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and is not shared with anyone: we do not use Google Analytics or advertising tools. The country, city and network operator (which we use to tell bots from people) are worked out on our server from the IP address, using the free DB-IP databases (db-ip.com), without sending the IP to third parties. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the website.
How long we keep it
Form messages are stored in a database on our server and sent to our email, so that we can reply and follow up on your request. We keep them for as long as that follow-up needs, and delete them sooner if you ask us to. The newsletter email is kept until you ask to stop receiving it. In the visit statistics, the full IP address is deleted after 30 days (only the country and approximate city remain).
Your rights
You may, at any time, ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing, by writing to geral@mundofeliz.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
Cookies
This website uses a single functional cookie, to remember the language you choose. The Google map only loads if you click to show it, and from then on Google may set its own cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.
